Abstract
•Anecdotally, dogs with hyperadrenocorticism treated with trilostane have increased risk of developing hypoadrenocorticism.•In 156 dogs, the incidence of hypoadrenocorticism following 2 years of treatment with trilostane was 15%.•In dogs treated with trilostane, dose rate was not associated with risk of hypoadrenocorticism.•This incidence is higher than expected and comparable to some previous studies.
