Incidence and risk factors for hypoadrenocorticism in dogs treated with trilostane.
The Veterinary Journal(2017)
Abstract
•Anecdotally, dogs with hyperadrenocorticism treated with trilostane have increased risk of developing hypoadrenocorticism.•In 156 dogs, the incidence of hypoadrenocorticism following 2 years of treatment with trilostane was 15%.•In dogs treated with trilostane, dose rate was not associated with risk of hypoadrenocorticism.•This incidence is higher than expected and comparable to some previous studies.
