Effect of semen washing on thawed ram spermatozoa subjected to a four hour post-thawing thermal evaluation test

•Semen quality was affected by sperm washing.•Unwashed sperm had better motility than washed sperm regardless incubation period.•Incubation decrease acrosome and mitochondrial integrity irrespective of sperm treatment.•Seminal plasma improved post-thawed sperm motility.
