Abstract
Tacrolimus-based immunosuppression is used in over 80% of lung transplants. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in genes important to tacrolimus metabolism (CYP3A5 and CYP3A4) and absorption (ABCB1) are associated with changes in drug level to dose ratios. We hypothesized that polymorphisms in CYP3A5, CYP3A4, and ABCB1 would impact immunosuppression-related clinical outcomes.
