摘要
Objectives: Anemia is frequently observed in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) patients and might impact clinical outcomes. Several studies indicate an impact of low hemoglobin levels on short and long-term mortality. However, most studies categorized the continuous variable hemoglobin, an approach known to lead to problems in analysis and interpretation (such as reduction in power and uncertainty in defining the cut points). Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the association of hemoglobin on short- and mid-term outcomes after TAVR using an alternative statistical method.
