Comparative Study Of Anti-Peristaltic Agents For Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
GASTROINTESTINAL ENDOSCOPY(2016)
Abstract
Antispasmodic agents are useful to inhibit gastric peristalsis during diagnostic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (UGE) for accurate diagnosis, as well as therapeutic endoscopy. Although l-menthol has been reported to be an effective agent for reducing gastric peristalsis, the contributions during endoscopy are not well understood.
