Novel high solid content Nano Siliconated poly (VeoVa-acrylate) Terpolymer latex for high performance latex paints

•Acrylate terpolymer latex contains silicon was prepared via emulsion polymerization.•The latexes based on VTMS, MMA, BuA, Veova showed good mechanical properties.•The latexes incorporated in water-borne paints showed high stability.•The paint films achieved excellent water and weather resistance for house-hold walls.•The water-borne paints are eco-friendly, safe and meet environment requirements.
