Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of CT perfusion in diagnosis of human breast carcinoma, acute and chronic mastitis. Methods CT perfusion images were performed in invasive breast carcinoma(18cases),acute mastitis(11cases) and chronic mastitis(8cases) confirmed pathologically in clinic. All images were transferred to a post- processing GE AW 4.1 workstation using perfusion 3 body tumor perfusion software for subsequent analysis. The data of perfusion parameters was analyzed by paired samples t-test compared with contralateral normal breast tissue.Meanwhile, independent sample t-test was used statistically. Results The values of the surface permeability(PS),blood volume(BV) and blood flow(BF) were higher in breast carcinoma and acute mastitis than in the contralateral normal breast tissue(P0.05).The values of PS and BV were higher,BF value was lower,in acute mastitis than in carcinoma(P0.05).The values of PS,BV and BF were lower in chronic mastitis than in breast carcinoma(P0.05),PS value was lower in the chronic mastitis than in the contralateral normal breast tissue but with no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion CT perfusion imaging can reflect the perfusion characteristics of breast lesions, and be a viable method for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the breast diseases.
