Abstract
The β-1,3-glucanase gene and chitinase gene, the bivalent genes pBIBGC,were introduced into cotton via particle bombardment, using cotton immature embryes as transgenic receptor. There is npt-Ⅱ(neomycin phosphotransferase Ⅱ) gene as screening marker in the plant bivalent expression vector. From treated embryos by laser transformation, resistant plantlets were obtained after kanamycin resistance screening. The results indicated that the method was easy to operate and repetitive. The foreign genes were introduced into immature embryos by this technique, which avoids difficulties of regeneration of plantlets.
