Study on the Binarization Problem of Suspended Particle Image in Seawater

In order to reduce binarization image distortion due to information loss in the seawater suspended particle image binarization process, pretreatment of original images is usually conducted, such as high pass filter, noise reduction and background balance. These treatment methods generally require complex algorithms to develop relevant software to achieve the destination, which proves less effective in practical use. Through analyzing the relationship between the grayscale image and binarization of the particle image, image capture hardware improvement is able to be conducted under guidance, with the lighting conditions selected, which results in an image pattern close to the gray distribution of the binarized image, achieving good binarization effects of particle images.
