Improvement of the determination of hydrogen content in coal by D-T neutron generator

A D-T neutron generator is used as a neutron source to measure the hydrogen content in coal,the thermal neutron flux cannot be regarded as a constant value.The relationship between the production of the hydrogen characteristic gamma rays(N) and its content(G) is nonlinear.The results of MCNP simulation had shown that the relationship between the third power of N and G is linear.The absolute error of hydrogen calculated by that equation was less than 0.25%,which attained the requirement of coal industry.
