Kindling revisited: effects of age in fMRI of affective memory in adolescent depression
F1000Research(2013)
Abstract
In memory performance, group differences were found in interaction with age so that the depression group differed from the healthy controls in trajectories of change in affective bias. These effect were mirrored in the activity of left medial temporal lobe regions (including the hippocampus and nucleus accumbens): relative decreases in BOLD signal with age during encoding of negative words differed between the two groups.
