Detection of cloud cover using dynamic thresholds and radiative transfer models from the Polarization Satellite Image

•Thresholds have taken into accounting spatio-temporal variation and different underlying surfaces in our algorithm.•Detected clouds are more accurate than current PARASOL cloud products by our algorithm.•The new theoretical model is constructed for the cloud detection algorithm based on the multi-angle polarization satellite image.
