A New Modes Selection Method For Structure

Abstract
The selection of modes has a big impact on the dynamic results for structure. A new method which considers the energy proportion in time domain and norm in frequency domain simultaneously is proposed. The results of numerical analysis using the proposed selection method for a 2D truss show the correctness and reliability.
