In this letter, layered discrete Hartley transform (DHT)-spread asymmetrically clipped optical-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (LDHTS-ACO-OFDM) is presented; it uses DHT for multiplexing/demultiplexing and pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM) alphabets.
