Abstract
•CeO2/Bi2MoO6 heterostructured microspheres are successfully synthesized by precipitation and hydrothermal method.•Introduced CeO2 NPs significantly enhance the photoelectric photoactivity of Bi2MoO6 microspheres.•CeO2/Bi2MoO6 composite exhibit excellent stability for the photodegradation of AO-II.•The possible photocatalytic mechanism is discussed and proposed.
