•Rebaudioside A, a steviol glycoside, was detected in the Rubus suavissimis leaf for the first time.•Isomers of rebaudioside B or stevioside were also detected for the first time in the Rubus suavissimis leaf.•Rubus suavissimis was analyzed using UPLC-MS instrumentation.
