Recognition of GIS PD Signals Based on EEMD and Two - Dimensional Gabor Transform

P96 discharge (PD) can reflect the insulation defects inside the GIS. Different types of discharges have significant differences on the hazard of GIS. Correctly identifying the discharge type of GIS is essential for timely confirming the operation status of GIS equipment and avoiding Possible insulation failure is very important. In this paper, a fusion method based on EEMD and two-dimensional Gabor transform is proposed, and the method is validated by four typical PD models to verify the method. The results show that the average correct recognition rate reaches 94.5%, significantly higher than using EEMD and two-dimensional Gabor transform algorithm alone.
