Abstract
Background: Although the survival rate of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) patients treated at night-time was reported to be lower than those treated at day-time, the cause has not been fully elucidated. We evaluated the difference in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) quality between day-time and night-time in OHCA patients using the outcomes of in-hospital CPR (IHCPR) duration and the incidence of iatrogenic chest injuries.
