However, due to the burial characteristics of shale gas and the propagation characteristics of the PS-wave, the quality of the PS-wave data collected is poor, so in the face of this low resolution data, the traditional deconvolution method can’t effectively improve its resolution. Therefore a fast basis tracking spectral inversion is presented to improve the resolution of multi-wave shale data, and further improve the accuracy of multi-wave joint velocity inversion and provide high-quality data for the prediction of high-quality shale. Applications on theoretical and real data show very high performance of the proposed algorithm in this paper.
