Growth promotion of rapeseed (Brassica napus) associated with the inoculation of phosphate solubilizing bacteria

•Bacillus, Serratia, Arthrobacter and Pantoea were able to promote rapeseed growth.•Root exudates affect biofilm formation and quorum sensing signals production.•At field, inoculation with phosphate solubilizing bacteria improves rapeseed yield.
