Abstract
A novel three-phase rectifier composed of an AC input port, a low-voltage DC output port and a high-voltage DC intermediate port, is analyzed in this paper. Based on this converter, major of energy can be directly transmitted to the output port with wide voltage range, and the minor energy is handled by the DC/DC converter between the high-voltage and low-voltage DC ports. As a result, the semi-single-stage structure can result in improving power conversion efficiency compared with conventional two-stage solutions. A control method based on dual-loop synchronous reference frame control and additional independent DC voltage control is analyzed and evaluated. Simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the theoretical analysis.
