The individualization of the infusion rate of intravenous lipid emulsion: A population pharmacokinetic approach

Rationale: The administration of intravenous lipid emulsion (ILE) demands more than several hours. Although the infusion rate at less than 0.1 g/kg/hr is uniformly recommended by Japanese guidelines, the individualization of the infusion rate based on the patients’ characteristics is preferable for ILE, as well as for a drug.
