Rationale: Taurolidine exerts a wide spectrum of biological actions, ranging from antibacterial effects to antineoplastic properties. Its effects on immune cells have not been characterized in much detail so far. Therefore, we investigated the ex vivo effects of taurolidine on relevant innate and adaptive immune cell functions.
