Abstract
Rationale: Since April 2016, our nutrition support team has evaluated patients with acute cerebral infarction using a video endoscopic examination (VE) of the swallowing function as early as possible (within 24 hours from hospitalisation). We have constructed a system for nutritional treatment suitable for each swallowing function. In this study, we evaluated the effect of early swallowing evaluation on length of hospital stay.
