Abstract
•ZnONiO nanostructures with single target ZnO0.8-NiO0.2 is successfully obtained.•ZnONiO nanostructures are fully discriminate by the aid of SPM techniques.•Local semi-conducting properties are recorded on the ZnO matrix and NiO pillars.•The charge transport mechanisms of our system are discussed with band diagram models.
