Abstract
This paper presented an investigation on different support patterns in roadways under dynamic pressure of mining. The field tests were conducted in no. 282 men-walking rise in Luling coal mine, China. The field monitoring showed the U-shaped steel support was not suitable in roadways under dynamic pressure. Then FLAC2D software was adopted to investigate the effects of U-shaped steel support and rock bolt support. The findings from the numerical simulation indicated that rock bolt system is able to maintaining roadway stability. The rock bolts system including double layer bolts-mesh-shotcrete support and hollow grouting anchor cables was finally proposed to support the rise. Field monitoring showed that the roadway basically stabilised after repairing three month, the floor heave was 122 mm, the ribs convergence was reduced from 455 mm to 98 mm compared with the original support scheme. This case study is useful in enhancing engineer application of rock bolts to support roadways under dynamic pressure [R...
