Abstract
Those days are gone when storing and accessing of data were done on computeru0027s hard drive. Now with innovation in technology and besides the abundant achievement of Internet Computing resources fully-fledged into more economical, more dominant and further universally obtainable perpetually than before. This high-tech inclination of the 21st century has assumed true to the consciousness of a new-fangled computing archetypal known as Cloud Computing. This Computing is not only about the hard drives were storing and accessing can be done but also it is latest computing model and it offers incredible prospects to elucidate the extensive scientific problem. To fully exploit the applications of cloud, numerous defies need to be addressed where scheduling is one among them. Although catholic research has been done on Workflow Scheduling, there are very few edges custome-made for Cloud environments. For some simple characteristics of Cloud such as elasticity and heterogeneity, existing work fails to meet optimal solution. Therefore, in this paper different types of methodologies has been surveyed and highlighted which are used in scheduling algorithm for scientific workflow to reduce the makespan and cost in cloud environment
