Reducing charge recombination of polymer solar cells by introducing composite anode buffer layer

•The composite Pedot/MoO3 was used as hole extraction layer in PSCs.•Pedot incorporation can control distribution of phases and passivity surface trap states.•The composite transport layer could balance charge carrier transport and reduced internal recombination.
