Prediction of the earthquake response of a three-storey infilled RC structure

•Blind prediction contest results of a 1:2.5 scaled 3D building structure nonlinear seismic behaviour.•The numerical modelling strategy defined for the contest is presented and the main detailing aspects.•A new simplified infill masonry wall macro-model considering the in-plane and out-plane interaction.•A parametric study was presented to evaluate the main variables that affect the seismic response of RC structures.
