Abstract
•Pyrite in Pangjiahe gold deposit can be divided into five paragenetic stages.•Based on the hydrothermal zircon ages, the Pangjiahe deposit formed at ∼230 Ma.•The gold deposits in SQO have similar mineralization style, but discrete range of δ34S in ore stage pyrite.•Gold deposit in the North Belt sourced S, Au and As from the Devonian graben basins whereas in the South Belt sourced from the deep magma.
