Synthesis, characterization, and application of ruthenium-doped SrTiO3 perovskite catalysts for microwave-assisted methane dry reforming

摘要
•An efficient 7 wt. % ruthenium-doped SrTiO3 perovskite catalyst has been developed for microwave-assisted dry reforming.•Microwave irradiation decreases the time of synthesis (from 24 to 1 h) without affecting the formation of perovskite.•Maximum conversions of ∼99% for CH4 and ∼94% for CO2 at H2/CO ∼0.9 were obtained with the developed perovskite catalyst.•Significant improvement in H2 throughput is attained by the perovskite catalyst compared to carbon-based catalysts.
