High electrochemical performance of hollow corn-like LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 cathode material for lithium-ion batteries

摘要
•Hollow corn-like LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 material for lithium ion battery cathodes is successfully synthesized.•3D corn-like architecture allows the expansion and shrinkage of battery materials upon Li+ intercalation/deintercalation.•Hollow corn-like LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 material revealed superior capacity retention and rate capability of 160.22 mA h g−1 (85.71%) at 200 mA g−1 after 100 cycles.
