摘要
Introduction: Neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC) is an aggressive form of PC thought by clinicians to carry a higher risk of VTE than standard castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) though it is unclear if this is due to propensity for visceral metastasis or receipt of platinum chemotherapy. We previously reported differences in gene expression of procoagulant factors at ICTHIC 2016, with significantly higher prothrombin expression in NEPC. Here we present our clinical experience of venous thromboembolism events (VTE) in a cohort of NEPC and CRPC patients.
