Abstract
Youth is a known high-risk time for deliberate self-harm (DSH; non-suicidal self-injury and suicide attempts). Despite there being a clear need for effective psychological treatments for youth admitted following DSH, there is limited data on which treatments are most effective and mediators of adherence. The objective of this study was to determine whether hope and/or borderline-personality disorder (BPD) predict study drop-out rates among youth admitted for an episode of DSH.
