PD34-10 ATTRACTIVENESS AND ACCESSIBILITY OF FOCAL THERAPY FOR PROSTATE CANCER: RESULTS OF AN INTERNATIONAL WEB-BASED SURVEY

RESULTS: Median (IQR) age was 63 (59-67).Median IIEF-15 at baseline was 55 (30-67) with median p¼0.0093).Larger decreases in IIEF-15 at 12months were associated with age (p¼0.011) and lower IIEF-15 at baseline (p<0.0001).Pre-treatment MRI characteristics associated with greater decline in IIEF-15 at 12 months were ECE of tumour (p¼0.003).Post-treatment MRI characteristics associated with greater decline in IIEF-15 were larger tumour necrosis volume as a proportion of prostate gland size (p¼0.029)and extra capsular tumour treatment necrosis extending beyond the edge of prostate (p<0.05).Treatment extending beyond the lateral edge of prostate in the region of two neurovascular bundles was associated with IIEF-15 decline (p¼0.023),but involving one NVB was not associated (p¼0.056).CONCLUSIONS: Pre and post treatment MRI can aid in predicting the risk of ED in men undergoing focal ablative therapy using HIFU for localized prostate cancer.Understanding the determinants of ED in this setting may help us to risk stratify patients and target treatments more effectively post intervention.
