Abstract
•A two-objective formulation is proposed for the Load Restoration Problem.•The problem is solved by a meta-heuristic followed by a local search refinement.•A heuristic is introduced to appropriately estimate the time of the maneuvers.•A preliminary step considering remote-only switches can restore some service without any impact.•The method is fast and robust when solving fault scenarios of a real-world network.
