Prediction of ionic liquids viscosity at variable temperatures and pressures

•Relationship between structure and viscosity of IL has been analyzed qualitatively.•Viscosity of ionic liquids (ILs) at variable temperature and pressure was explained using norm indices.•This work adjust the parameters for temperature and pressure based on the molecule structures.•The established models can be explored in designing novel ILs with specific viscosity.
