Advanced Parameters Of Cardiac Function Out Perform Traditional Echocardiographic Indices In The Identification Of Pediatric Patients With Acute Antibody-Mediated Cardiac Transplant Rejection

Antibody-mediated allograft rejection is a less understood and often undiagnosed entity despite resulting in high rates of cardiovascular death. Adult studies have shown that traditional echocardiographic markers have poor sensitivity in mild rejection and thus cannot supplant endomyocardial biopsy. Aim of our study was to describe acute changes in echocardiographic markers of rejection in a population of children with acute antibody-mediated rejection.
