Identification and impact of hyperparasitoids and predators affecting Cyzenis albicans (Tachinidae), a recently introduced biological control agent of winter moth ( Operophtera brumata L.) in the northeastern U.S.A.

•Cyzenis albicans is an important biocontrol agent of winter moth.•We evaluated predation and hyperparasitism attacking puparia.•Hyperparasitism was frequent, but predation of puparia was higher.•Hyperparasitic wasps were from the genera Phygadeuon, Pimpla, and Gelis.•The observed C. albicans mortality likely will not affect biocontrol efficacy.
