摘要
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) comprises numerous sensor nodes. The lifetime of WSN solely depends on battery power, which is limited. This depicts the necessity of an energy efficient method in data aggregation and data transmission with minimum delay. In existing system, a sensor node with higher remaining energy comprises to form Connected Dominating Set (CDS). A virtual transmission path called virtual backbone is formed with sensor nodes in CDS. In this work an energy efficient method in which clustering of CDS nodes is proposed. Clustering will be based on the better remaining energy nodes and a virtual backbone formed with cluster heads thus ensuring highly energy efficient and lesser delay. A sample network is considered for the sake of comparison of the proposed method with published article based on simulation. The result shows that deterioration of total energy over a period of time is appreciably lower compared to already published work.
