Mining Temporalities: An Overview

•To study the “resource extraction – time” nexus we propose the concept of mining temporalities.•Extractive landscapes are temporal landscapes, that is, spatial materializations of time.•Extractive activities consist of temporal processes with different seasonality, rhythms and cycles.•It is shown how past, present and future are entangled in extractive practices.•Mining Temporalities are established through a politics of time.
