Abstract

•The ionic liquids were firstly applied for the enzymatic resolution of (R,S)-1-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine.•Great improvement in enantiomeric excess of R-type product was obtained in IL [C6mim][Tf2N].•Vinyl n-octanoate suppressed the non-enzymatic reaction and excellent value of enantiomeric excess of R-type product was achieved.
