•A novel technique for detection of biomolecules has been proposed using adsorption on the gate material, Au (100).•Calculation of aqueous concentration of biomolecules present in the analyte solution introduced to the nanobiosensor.•The nanobiosensor exhibits excellent sensitivity in the sub threshold region.•Analytical model of the proposed nanobiosensor has been developed.
