Numerical analysis of the photo-injection time-of-flight curves in molecularly doped polymers

•Multiple trapping model is used to describe charge carrier transport.•Published data for 30% TPD:PC has been used to compare photo injected and radiation-induced time of flight techniques.•Energy selective injection is inadequate to validate trap-free carrier transport in molecularly doped polymers.•Photo injected time of flight technique needs further examination.•Definitive results about carrier transport in organics can only be provided by radiation-induced time of flight technique.
