摘要

•Limited liver oxidative stress was caused by caloric restriction (CR) and re-alimentation.•CR induced low-potential mitochondria while increased mitochondrial DNA content.•Re-alimentation recovered mitochondrial function and mitochondrial biogenesis.•CR and subsequent re-alimentation regulated liver mitochondrial metabolism through AMPK-PPARGC1A-TFAM pathway.
