摘要
Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common progressive neurological disease in young adults in developed countries. MS studies are scarce in sub-Saharan Africa: in Kenya there are only two case-series totalling 14 patients published over 15 years ago. We have seen increasing referrals of cases labelled with MS to our tertiary referral centre, with some patients having been misdiagnosed e.g. due to over-interpretation of MRI scans.
