A Planning Method Of Grouping Onus Based On Load Balancing

Aiming at the characteristics of large scale, huge load and different service requirements of the ethernet passive optical network (EPON), a new networking strategy, grouping management of optical network units (ONU), is proposed. In this paper, we first consider the economy, network delay and load balance, and establish the cost model, the load balance model and the network delay model. Secondly, we plan the number and location of access points (AP) and the method of grouping ONUs, and use the genetic simulated annealing algorithm to obtain the optimal grouping scheme of ONUs. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that the ONUs grouping method proposed in this paper can achieve the optimal cost of network construction, at the same time the method also can meet the requirements of network delay and load balance.
