摘要
Low birthweight/preterm (LBW/PT) infants are a substantial subgroup of the general population and are well known to be at excess risk for childhood ADHD. A certain percentage of LBW/PT with ADHD continues to have symptoms, particularly inattentive symptoms, well into adolescence. Those with persistent inattentive symptoms compared with those whose childhood ADHD symptoms remit, have poorer academic performance and social adjustment in high school. The objective of this study is to determine whether LBW/PT adolescents with persistent inattentive (PIA) symptoms have neuropsychological characteristics that distinguish them from adolescents whose ADHD symptoms remitted (SAL) and those who has never affected by ADHD symptoms (UN).
