Abstract
•We show that Nin/graphene can be used as catalysts for the hydrogenation reactions.•H2 is adsorbed dissociatively on the Nin (n = 4–10) nanoclusters.•H2 adsorption on Ni6 and Ni4 are more effective than other Ni nanoclusters.
