A Multi-Target Joint Estimation Method For Radar Calibration Based On Real-Time Ais Data

A multi-target joint estimation method for radar calibration based on AIS is proposed in this paper. Using the AIS with higher precision, such method could help to estimates the bias of radar. To do such, based on the multi-target track data, firstly the rough association of targets is needed, after which the temporal and space alignment method is used to generate the error sequence of radar. With the abnormal value screening of one target error sequence and then the verification of false associated targets based on the multi-target error sequence, system error is estimated by the date of the rest error sequence. The measured data and practical application shows that this method can estimate the bias properly. System error could be easily reduced after calibration with the estimated result.
